Liquid Chocolate

This is a cioccolata fiorentina. They serve it hot, in an espresso cup.

Fiorentina

With a spoon. You eat it with the spoon.

Well, exactly. Further comment seemed unnecessary, really.

You can get one at any Carluccio's.

Please post coordinates for Carluccio's. I'm going to insist on a stop there during my trip to UK.

Not bad, but there are more places where to have thick tasty chocolate, like the french chain Apostrophe, another french one Paul serves a less thick one but more aromatic hot chocolate. For an authentic spanish version with churros included, go to Churreria Española in Bayswater, or Churros Garcia on Portobello Market on Saturdays.

Ms H - are you getting paid a commission on each new customer you send to Carluccio's?

@Johanna - email me nearer the time and we'll have one together, perhaps with londontango. We can send your man to a football match or something. Or he can have one too. I don't know what his views on liquefied chocolate are. Perhaps they're like Simba's.
@Maya - Great tips! I didn't know any of those. That reminds me, I need to post some knitting.
@Gamecat - No.

Cafe Vergagno 1882 also do a really nic chocolate. Their coffees are the best prepared in London in my opinion.

There's on on Charing Cross road and on on the South Bank.

And if you like your drinks made into modern concoctions - they do great mochas and what not too...

Thorntons do really lovely hot chocolate with a variety of flavoured syrups plus you get an actual chocolate. I used to go and buy a novel, go in get a cup and enjoy. Never got pestered to hurry up and leave either.

Oh yeah and back in the day Wimpy made a killer cup of hot chocolate. Not sure nowadays - do not drink their current chocolate milkshakes *yuck*
