No hay tierra como la mia

Some music: Ian Bostridge – Semele HWV58: Where E're You Walk - George Fredrick Handel

Where'er you walk ...

... cool gales shall fan the glade ...

... Trees, where you sit ...

... shall crowd into a shade ...

... Where'er you tread ...

... the blushing flowers shall rise ...

... and all things flourish ...

... where'er you turn your eyes ...

... where'er you turn your eyes ...

I wish I could convey to you the velvet texture of these young oak leaves. Not very good pictures, as I don't practice this enough, but there are so many sorts of bluebells.

No Hay Tierra Como La Mia is one of my favorite milongas! Beautiful pictures to bring some of the words to life. Love the bluebells!

I haven't looked up the lyrics of 'no hay tierra como la mia', I don't know if they're remotely appropriate, but it makes a lovely platitudinous title!

Ian Bostridge singing this gives me goosebumps and as I scrolled down your beautiful photographs, singing the words in my head, I erupted into goosebumps! Lovely, thank you, and thank you for your blog - I really enjoy it. Suzi x
