Hi! I am getting a few readers from Ireland lately, especially Cork. Please jump in the comments, don't let Ghost and David and the other regulars have it all their own way!
Fantastic! My family - on the Barrett side- originate from Cork. But I'm curious- if they haven't commented yet how do you know they're from Cork? Do you have some amazing software that tells you where your readers are located?
@Tango en el Cielo - The little sitemeter stats tracker near the bottom right, in my case - there are better alternatives, but this is the one I use for now. It doesn't really give information about individuals but it shows whereabouts the ISP is, and how many pages the visitor opened. In this case I also had an nice email from someone. @OwenMc that's beautiful. All I knit is definitely love! @Ghost - :p I'd never have guessed - but you certainly don't harm the national reputation for eloquence!
You also have a reader from The Netherlands! I started dancing about a year ago in The Hague, and now am going on in Amsterdam. I've forwarded some of your posts to friends in an attempt to better convey the delicious joy of tango to their curious and/or skeptical non-tango minds. Thank you!
@Ghost, well fancy that! If you get the chance please ask the Cork Barretts if they had an Uncle Will Barrett in Dublin married to Nora. He died a few years ago and was the last remaining Barrett in Ireland we were in touch with.
Comments are moderated - when I get round to it, which is not always the same week. Anonymous comments are permitted at the moment, but please use a consistent pseudonym as a courtesy to others.

ReplyDeleteWell while I'm not back there these days, I'll weigh in all the same, and open the 'commenting', so to speak :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's one from an Irishman, living in England, taken while off on a Tango w'end in Spain...
