... and against quite a lot of bad dancing, for women at least.
José Garofalo in the heels, Carlos Stasi leading. Hat tip to TangoCommuter, who adds a bit of context at the link.
In case you feel that your permanent immunity requires a booster shot, José Garofalo does another version here.
I think the parody is stronger in the one with Carlos Stasi, because it's closer to common experience with a man leading, and truth is always funnier. But the second one, with Veronica Alvarenga, is better lit.
(I don't know where he got the shoes.)
rofl - I particularly like the parts where the follower gets so carried away it's all the leader can do just to manage to stay upright!
ReplyDeleteThere is a certain dark haired beauty that can be seen dancing in this fashion on occasion. I think it is hilarious and saw this on Tangocommuter's site. This type of parody could be funnier if it weren't based on truth. Just have a look at the dance floor!
ReplyDeleteLOL Very entertaining.
ReplyDeleteAt least, in both videos, Jose demonstrates good technical command of his embellishments, and they are done with regard to music :)
I hadn't seen this version Ms. H. They're both hilarious. And yes, at least Jose is musical...
ReplyDeleteMy impression is that Jose is also one of the best younger-generation dancers around. He's certainly a very musical leader, and his musicality makes the parody even more wicked.
