Tango in Seattle

I'm going to be in Seattle, WA, USA from 27th August to 5th September, staying with a (non-dancing) friend.

Without assuming I actually will - my mind will be on other things - where could I go to get one or two nice dances, where my friend would also be welcome, and be able to sit and have a quiet drink, possibly take a beginners' class if she feels like an adventure, or perhaps have a cake and a cup of tea?

Ok on Friday night the 29th, you can go have good steak at the Buenos Aires Grill and there is a tango performance there.

Saturday the 30th is a really nice milonga at Dance Underground and if your friend doesn't dance it's no problem - full of really nice people and it's fun to watch, and there are always snacks and wine, etc.

Monday the 1st is a nice milonga at China Harbor which is right on the water. :-) There is also a daytime practica that day at Dance Underground.

Tuesday the 2nd there is a practica at the Century Ballroom - and that is only a block away from the best pizzeria in Seattle, Via Tribunali (on Pike).

Also on Thursdays there is a nice practica at Dance Underground.

:-)

allseattletango.com has more details. :-)

ALSO, check out Club Sur: http://www.clubsur.us/ I believe they have tango or will soon. E-mail them! :-)

Oooh Tina! Thank you very much!

That's everything I need. It could well happen.

Thanks!

Oh, you are going to have a great time in Seattle! I hope you get a chance to see Elizabeth while you're there.

And be sure to see Seattle, too. I wasn't there nearly long enough and there were so many things I didn't get to do.

Have fun!
